Lesson: Open G Tunings, Part Two
Most players when tuned to open G, tend to either put a slide on their finger or go for a bluesy Keith Richards riff, Pavlovian style. It sounds great and the tuning was practically invented for that purpose. But that's not all it can do. In this lesson we will explore some other cool things that we can do in open G tuning. It's also a great way to get new sounds and a fresh perspective from the same ol' fingerings we use all the time. Go grab your tuners and put your Rolling Stones records on the shelf, at least for a few hours.
