David Bowie - Let's Dance

Cover:   Let's Dance

From the album of the same name, "Let's Dance" rose up the charts at meteoric speed and went all the way to #1 - Bowie's only single to hit number one on both sides of the Atlantic. Produced by Nile Rogers with Stevie Ray Vaughan on guitar, "Let's Dance" - both the song and the album - turned a whole new generation on to the genius of David Bowie.

Lesson:   Learn To Play Guitar Solos - Part 2

Pentatonic scales are the basis for rock and blues soloing. Almost all classic rock guitar soloing uses pentatonic scales and in some cases exclusively. In this lesson we will look at the basic pentatonic scale and it's different positions on the fretboard. We will also learn how to shift between these positions in a fluid, natural way.

Steely Dan - Can't Buy A Thrill

Cover:   Reelin' In The Years

This mega hit by Steely Dan from their debut album 'Can't Buy A Thrill', went all the way to #11 on the pop charts in 1973. The combination of this song and the hit "Do It Again" helped make this album a huge success right out of the gate - first going gold and then going platinum. Legendary Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has said that Elliott Randall's guitar solo on "Reelin' In the Years" is his favorite solo of all time.

James Brown -

Cover:   Get Up ( I Feel Like Being A Sex Machine)

One of the biggest and best hits by James Brown, "Get Up (I Feel Like Being A Sex Machine)" aka "Sex Machine" hit number two on the R&B Charts and went top twenty on the Pop Charts in 1970. The song also features the recording debut of brothers William "Bootsy" Collins and Phelps "Catfish" Collins. Funk doesn't get much better than this.
